I think ferrari will be sleeping sound tonight. Audi R8 or an F430? mmmmmmmm, let me think, the ultimate sportscar with years of pedigree or an overpriced audi TT?:)

Have to disagree with you there buddy would take the Audi anyday, each to his own though eh?

I'd go for the Fezza over the poor mans Veyron :p

I do like the R8 though, cracking looking and sounding cars in the flesh. Probably a damn sight easier on the wallet come servicing time too.

Whatever happened to the totally nuts Audi V12 Turbo Diesel thing? Did they ever build a clutch strong enough for it? On a press day the journos were told not to plant it as the clutch would die before they reached the end of the car-park they were in!!!

500 hp but with 738 lb-ft of torque.

0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and maxes out at 186mph.

It also manages to get 23 MPG!!

I bet they've scrapped it.

How many of you have actually driven an R8??

I had the pleasure of dring one flat out on a twisty track 6 months back. I drove a 911, Ferrari 360, Aston Vantage & Gallardo. I would take the R8 all day long...!!:)

The Ferrari was vicious. I would like to take that out in the wet..!! The R8 was more controlled and felt better connected to the road.

Everyone to their own though.....

H.
