grandiaerbest
I am thinking of buying this car: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1001737.htm I am new to the Supra community, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ian W
I wouldn't buy that car. It's expensive for an early n/a auto and to top it off it's 'showcar' ugly with the cheapest of seats fitted. Keep looking imo. Ian
Alex
Looks ok - major bodykits though can be hiding major damage, make sure you look for evidence of a crash. Get the VIN off the owner, then get an HPI check done. After that drive it, look for any blue oil smoke, white gunk in the oil cap, check it comes up to temp properly and the heater works inside. Engine should be smooth when running. The looks will divide people, but if you like it then great.
tomgeer
As Ian said it's too expensive for an N/A IMO

tooley
although it may look expensive if you buy a standard one thats a good one you wont see much change out of £3k for a very good one. if you count up the cost of the actual bits thats on that car wheels £780 seats £200 boot build done professionaly not even including the cost of the components £700 bodkit in various guises even 2nd hand for full kit £2-£400 then even if you know a good bodyshop and get it done as a favour another £500 thats not even counting the dash being sprayed and bigs etc so its not a bad price but as soon as you pay it you are losing money but if you get someone who knows their stuff to go and look at it with you and its a good one you would in theory save yourself a lot of time and bother sourcing all the above and then have it off road whilst you get it all done

adnanshah247
i was going to buy this for a little run around but thought a stock one would be best, the TT is costing enough as it is and cant be asked having an N/A in the garage constantly being touched up
