Adding HGV map data to a Tom Tom

Thanks for that, it looks a bit daunting in there though :) If you can find out if I can change a "normal" car model, let's say a 730, to use the HGV stuff I'd appreciate it. In the meantime I'll have a more thorough scout about in there, cheers :)

There is no version of TT for the PC, some people have tried to run it on a PDA emulator, but I think it's going to be too much effort to get it all up and running.

 

Have a look here for some more details.

 

If it works like the Speed Camera POI, and it will, then it will be good as a warning, but will not auto route or warn you when you plan the journey.

 

Just make sure you set the warning lenght ahead to be far enough.

 

You don't want it to say 'BEEP - Warning low bridge ah... ' :p

Can Tom Tom software run on a laptop?

 

PITA.

We used to run a PDA hacked version - I spent more time getting the damn thing to work than using it.

 

Eventually bought one of those 50 quid Navigos and put the tom tom software on it. Still plays up though sometimes.
