Automatic to Tiptronic/semi automatic gearbox conversion??

if they both use the same gear box would i just need to change the shifter on top and the shroud/auto dash surrounding to tiptronic?

I would suggest the answer is way more parts than makes it worthwhile.

 

the tiptoe is a normal auto but with a whole new ECU and is only available on the facelift models, so assume you need a whole new main ECU, which probably means changing other stuff as the facelifts come with VVTI and OBDII.

 

So your best bet is to buy a tiptronic.

 

Nobody has yet done any sort of button or paddle upgrade for the normal auto either.

It would be a hell of a job to do that just for the tip as branners says, and seriously not worth the agro...

This still gets thrown about, but I have to hear of anyone actually using it.
