IDO
If you have a mac.. here is what i do with mine.. Have a free download called "handbrake" to get the files off the DVD then put them through another ap' "visual Hub" which will converts them to pretty much any thing.. has a ipod, iphone setting so will do the screen size and everything for you.. but i belive this ap' costs about £7 to download.. but well worth it! Has helped me manage to get stuff on to my ipod, nokia phone.. Also good for stuff like vids and MP4 you may have on a computer will write them to play on any dvd player.. philstowell
I use this one then add the files to itunes and then they sync ok for me. http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPhone/ hope it helps
caseys
Handbrake all the way, especially as it's got some decent presets and it designed to take advantage of multi-core CPUs - allows me to encode a 90 minute movie in 14 minutes It has presets for iPhone settings. Once they're ripped just put them in your iTunes library as movies and you're all set
Geo
or you can use this site, as they are already in MP4 format. http://vidpoint.webs.com/moviemp4l1.htm

Smellywelshman
Still struggling folks. I've downloaded handbrake, and it wouldn't recognise anything in the DVD drive. So I used dvdfab to copy and then h'brake to convert to mp4. iTunes recognises it but won't allow me to drag and drop it into my iPhone! :search: Any ideas? chris2o2
I always used Videora , Google it . Quick and easy to use.
Smellywelshman
Sorry to drag this one up from the depths but I managed to get it working (after a long stint of not trying!) Just to close the thread off if someone searches for the same topic. I liked topic bars! Where did they go!?! Anyways, rip the film/episode you want off the dvd with dvdfab then convert it with handbrake, create a new playlist or just sync it directly through the iphone/ipod touch movies bit. Works a treat! Having a Topic would be a real treat right now! Chin chin!
