tbourner
Did I see on here someone said Lewis was quoted saying he'd leave McLaren if they did too badly this year and he was offered another seat? Anyone got links if that's true?

Anyone got links if that's true? It wouldn't suprise me, the whole sport seems to be going down the pan at the minute and drivers/teams keep coming out with statements like this after every GP. http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/forum/topic.php?id=286 There's something about it here. The Restorer
Thing is, the years just before he started racing Mclaren weren't doing too well. When he signed up to McLaren over ten years ago he couldn't have known how good they would have been in th future so he should just remain loyal and help them through this rough patch. When Alonso left Renault their performance nose-dived then when he returned they started getting some better results. It's the sign of a good driver and I sure hope Hamilton doesn't forget the support Mclaren have given him over the years.
TNT
Ah, but was his loyalty to big Ron or McLaren, with Ron gone he may be less inclined to stay.

merckx
I don't think it would be wise to leave just yet. Who's going to have the best car next year when we could possibly see the introduction of two different sets of regulations?
JustGav
He has lost the edge I reckon, look at him interview in the last few races and compare it to him last year, since that debacle with radio comms he has lost it...
Guest Saintdell
Don't count out Hamilton just yet.. He may not win F1 this year but he still has the talent to peroform consistantly even if he doesn't have the car.

toyotasupra1980
Hamilton who????????? do you mean that guy that cant seem to keep up with Jenson Button ;-p
Kim1978
it all comes down to the ride...at least 95%. McLaren like Ferrari has a cr@p car this season remember the days when Jenson was fighting to even make it to the finish line...last year he ended up 18th and not a single time in the last two years he made it to the podium
