oops i was wrong i did try admiral.. they came up at 596

You must live in a bad postcode area. I'm currently paying just under £500 with 3 points on my license. I'm 28 with full no claims. Without the points my insurance is going down to just over £400 (this year). All mods are declared, bodykit & performance.

not a bad area, just a busy area, im 5 miles from heathrow airport

Sorry bud i didn't actually mean a bad area lol. There are good area's that are postcode hotspots for various reasons. Nothing to do with the area you live in :)

I'm just getting a quote at the mo from a-plan myself for the little van... and I did try sky and they did say van stuff wasn't there thing it not being japanese or modified which is a shame, but never mind...

I know comparisons aren't worth diddly usually, but here are my quotes...

NIG - £278 with £200 excess, 5years NCD

Sky - £678 with £250 excess, 5years NCD

A-plan - Waiting, and will edit

If you have more than one car try a multicar quote.

Being a van complicates things a little bit unfortunately.. but that said I was happy with 278, so I have my baseline.

Although might be an idea, since I have to buy the wife a new car since I screwed hers up, so both cars on the same policy could be a very viable option.

Its probably worth pointing out that there's more that one A-Plan. I think they have a section for run of the mill cars and then there's another (with an address at Thatcham) that specialises in imports and modifieds.

A-Plan Thatcham branch indeed :) Speak to Chris.

Also they do agreed value I've been told if the car is 15 years old or more last time I rang up to check my policy.

I would get a comparison price of AON. My NA is on a limited mileage policy 5000 miles a year but it rolls over so this year I have 8000 available....:)

I started with quotes 2 years ago at £385.00. I have just renewed at £405.00.....:)

They love the over 30's and if youy have a garage then you are quids in. I don't have a garage btw..!!
