Remove it by packing a load of grease into it, then you will need to find something that will fit into it nicely, maybe a ratchet extension bar! Tap it in, the grease should compress and push the bearing out. You may need a fair amount of grease! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Andy Blyth Posted December 20, 2009 Share Posted December 20, 2009 Just want to add: a 3/8" extension bar is just too big to fit in the inner race of the bearing. However, the pin that fits into the clutch release fork (once cleaned up!) on a 6-speed is just right for the job. Takes a while to get all the air out of the cavity behind the bearing but once it's purged, the bearing pops right out with a gentle tap.
