Ian W
Hi guys Been in bed since Friday lunch time with what the doc has described as a 'flu type bug'. Nothing like being specific eh Anyhoo, she recommended that I stay in bed and drink lots of fluids while taking ibuprofen and paracetamol. This is kinda controlling my headaches, shivers and temperature. Problem is it's left me with unbearable stomach pains, nausea, dairrhea and generally feeling run down. Does anyone know of anything that will help ease my stomach pain? It just feels constantly bloated (strange given the diarrhea) and is really getting me down as it's there 24/7 Thanks in advance for anything. Geo
Just suck it up you Girl. Anyway you can use these, chamomile tea, peppermint tea, cinnamon, cumin. Also if you can get hold of some fresh ginger and mix it up with some tea, this will instantly releive the stomach pains.

Ian W
Brandy and port is what I have if I get something like that. Are you kidding? I'd have it thrown back up again within seconds. I'll note that I can barely eat any food or drink any fluids bar water btw.

Kranz
Try not taking ibuprofen on an empty stomach??? its probably the cause of your pain. maybe take them with milk, if you can keep it down? Ian W
:doctor:sounds like "man flu" be brave. Trust me, this is not man flu (to date I've been in bed for 5 consecutive days). Try not taking ibuprofen on an empty stomach??? its probably the cause of your pain. maybe take them with milk, if you can keep it down? I've not taken it on an empty stomach at all, always had something with it. My stomach feels constantly bloated despite the fact I'm suffering from diarrhea. Occasionally getting stomach acid in my throat as well.
