However the 30-70 time (or whatever other time it is they use in the mag) the supra kills is by half the time. something like 10 secs for the supra and 20 for the carlton I would also much rather sit in a supra than a 80s crappy vauxhaul's interior Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Benyon Posted May 12, 2009 Share Posted May 12, 2009 I remember reading that they stopped making the lotus carlton because it could easily outrun the police at the time, There is even a video of a cop car chasing one on youtube the carlton stays in sight for no more than 5 seconds. When I was a migweb member a guy I knew of there bought one that was broke and covered in green moss crap as it had been stood for almost two years. The guy I knew paid 7k for it in that shape. It has now been fully stripped and rebuilt with new new parts and engine overhaul The car must be worth 15-20k If he still has it. Even the owners manual cost something like £200. He loves his porsches but he says the Carlton is stupidly fast, even compared to newer shape C4S's.
