Gerry
Following on from my "Passed my DAS today" thread: http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=180247&highlight=das After nearly two months looking and torturing myself on what bike to get, I've finally got one. Decided on safety first and got a Suzuki SV650. A modest powered V Twin (so sounds nice) quite light for a sports bike and with bags of torque. It's a 2000 model (before they went all pointy looking) but only done 15K miles so is in good nic. Got to sort out insurance and a new helmet, looking forward to getting out on it in the sun as soon as I can, for some very steady first rides (no hero me) Hope you likey

Big Mark
Nice, I have a Suzuki TL1000R, just been out giving it a wash. V-Twins sounds so much nicer in my opinion, especially with some decent cans on. Have fun!

Matt H
Come to think about it i have rarely seen you write anything nice or constructive about anything apart from you and your own car! You don't have to look far, credit where credit is due. Anyway, I don't know why you're huffing and puffing. I haven’t said anything derogatory. It's bikes in general, not yours or you or the way it looks. My GF is a case manager a rehabilitation company. 90% of the cases she deals with are the wrecked lives of individuals from bike accidents. cheekymonkey
Nice looking bike! I was at George Whites yesterday kitting out the misses (she now likes the blackbird as it's faster than the supra) and we saw a leaflet about this: http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/kneesliders/117850-help-heroes-poker-run-30th-may.html I know you're local - ish - so maybe you'd like to join in? A quill exhaust sounds good, and there are lots of vids with different cans on you tube if you want to find one you like. I've had mine for a couple of years. I think its a great all round bike, just be careful of the engine breaking!

Gerry
Thanx all, Do like GXSR's, but to hairy for a new Born-Againer ! Am going to get it checked out by a bike garage I use regularly and intend to keep it in tip-top shape. The only time I ever came off my little Suzuki Trail (when I was 17) was due to me not maintaining it properly _ I had to put up with a bollocking from a bloke I'd just overtook as I was sat in the dirt Fav bike for the future would be a Triumph, but we will have to see...
