Tourniquet
Just had some fiddling done at my local tuner and now the air con's dead - is it likely to be a fuse or something > Haven't looked yet just thought I'd be lazy n see if it's a common problem easily sorted
Ian W
You'll need to be a bit more specific. Is the air con pump just not engaging or is the whole heater panel not working? What 'fiddling' was done?

Could be a number of things, might need re-gassed, a blown fuse, a plug left off the pressure switch etc
Tourniquet
They took out my wiring loom for an old turbo timer and tidied up the mess in the panel under the steering column. It blows ok and when i turned the heating on full and switched it straight to max a/c on the climate control it kicked in extra to cool it down but just doesnt blow cold a/c air, just like a normal crap fan on a non a/c car
L18msy
Sounds as if it might need re-gassed. If it is still kicking in then it is still getting power to it, so i dont think the wiring tidy up has affected it. If there is little gas in the system it wont work to its full potential. Tourniquet
any idea what it is or you not solved it yet either ?
GreaseMonkey
Just a thought. But I think it may be the climate control "Room temp sensor" which lives behind what looks like a tiny vent, in the trim panel on the left side to the steering column. It may be unplugged as noticed similar symptoms on a customers car at work to which caused the fault in Question. (But just a thought though, )
SimonB
If you do a search for air con diagnostic you will find the procedure for doing a diagnostic check on the air con which will tell you what it thinks is wrong.
