My new baby...

Well, ONE other person with taste ;)

Yeah, me too - since they came out years ago. Loved the fact that such a mainstream manufacturer balked tradition and built something so unsual. Prices are now achievable so had to give them a go.

Not as brutal feeling, acceleration wise, as the Supra, and certainly more compliant than mine around our roads. On paper though, a match for any standard TT. Nice steering feel and rapid progress can be made quite easily.

No driver aids except ABS though, so can be a handful apparently - yet to experience that of course, as I've only been on test drives so far.

I like that

Sorry, make that 2 then - thanks!! :D

Despite the recent price drops, it certainly wasn't CHEAP and admittedly I could have bought a nice TT6 for the same money but, as I've had 3 Supras now, a change is as good as a rest!

Styling still attracts attention too - though clearly not all for the right reasons as the mixed responses on here amply demonstrate!!

I think they are stunning, remind me of the old Scimitar which I had a soft spot for. I've been eyeing up 6 series BMs recently, would love to go back to BMW but not a good time to be spending out on motors (for me anyway!).

Funny you mention the 6s, I missed out on an old 80s M6 - gutted, as it had only 66k on the clock, FBMWSH and the only other wording on the ad was "immaculate, I repeat immaculate" which I thought was a brilliantly confident, short but to the point ad. This is my first BMW - always had the Jap stuff previously.

Haydn - 0-60 seems to be 5 to 5.5 depending on source material so yes, comparable. Didn't feel as brutal as my Supra, but different power delivery of course. Yet to suss the gear changes too, so I think my own runs will be somewhat short of those times!
