alaing
Just fitted my nicely rebuilt UK spec brakes to find my alloys dont fit over the top of them? arrggghhh!! So what i do? Sell the calipers or get new wheels (which id rather not do) Are UK spec brakes really worth the 700 quid odd for a new set of alloys? johnny g
For stock power .. no. BPU+ or above, then yes. Don't skimp on brakes mate. The MkIV had the best braking system of any production car from launch until Porsche introduced the Carrera GT IIRC.
SupraGirlie
Sell the brakes to me, problem solved.
alaing
lol Its those wheels you sold me that are the problem!! haha
tony tt
10mm spacers would get you out of trouble temporary but i would say new wheels mate.
alaing
would need new studs too which is a pain! Looks like it might have to be new wheels?!
ShamelessTT
Keep the brakes, the performance difference is well worth it. Its one of the first / best mods i did on my car (even before BPU). Why not pick up some cheap Stock 17's for a bit till you have the dosh??.
Homer
Could you use some hubcentric spaces as a temporary measure? lol Its those wheels you sold me that are the problem!! haha It must have been a cunning plan
merckx
For stock power .. no. BPU+ or above, then yes. I disagree. It's not just about how much power you've got.
TopgunTT
I have the Hi spec Mega monster calipers with 14" discs on my Supra and im still stock performance wise. They do suit the Supra well though
TLicense
You can't put a price on better brakes is my philosophy...
