Fitting longer wheel studs

Recommended Posts

Has anyone fitted longer wheel studs, the previous owner fitted new alloys with 5mm spacers.

I really should fit longer studs, the nuts are only going on about 4 full threads - about 7mm.

On the front does the brake dust cover prevent them from being pushed out, I'm not sure if there is a cut out somewhere? Not sure about the rear.

Has anyone fitted these, advice appreciated.

Thanks

You need to remove the front hubs and do them on the bench. Beating the studs out in situ will knacker the wheel bearings. I really think you are going about this the wrong way though, it would be far better to get some proper wheels!

I agree , I would love to get some new wheels.

Just cannot really afford to get any for quite a while! :(
