The big one! out today, apparently... if it isn't so riddled with bugs it has to be pulled back and fixed!?

This lets you level up to 30, and the game doesn't end when the main quest has been done.

From the Official Website;

Description:

Continue your existing Fallout 3 game and finish the fight against the Enclave remnants alongside Liberty Prime. Broken Steel moves the level cap for your character from 20 to 30, allowing you to experience even more of the game, including new perks and achievements.

Story:

You may have dealt the Enclave a serious blow at Project Purity, but their forces are still out there, and still pose a grave threat to the people and security of the Capital Wasteland. In Broken Steel, you’ll continue your current Fallout 3 character past the events of Project Purity, and work with the Brotherhood of Steel to eradicate the Enclave threat once and for all. Travel to new locations like the Olney Powerworks, wield destructive new weapons like the Tesla Cannon, and fight powerful new creatures like the Super Mutant Overlord.

Key Features:

* Battle your way to level 30, with all new perks and achievements to unlock along the way!

* Extends the Main Quest, allowing you to continue playing your existing character and find out what happens next in the Capital Wasteland.

* Acquire new high powered Enclave Technology, including a new devastating flamethrower, the Heavy Incinerator.

* Tougher foes await in life beyond level 20, including new enemies like the Super Mutant Overlord.

* Your decisions will inalterably affect the outcome of the Wasteland’s survivors.

Liking the sound of Olney Powerworks.... bring it on Deathclaws :eyebrows:

Bye bye PS3 :bye: :D

grrr just checked on my xbox, new Hd trailer out today.

Dam it! :complain:

Is this not on PS3 then?

Nope, just PC and XBox for the DLC... I suspect there will be a 'game of the year' edition with all the extra bits soon though :)

XBox one seems fine? :)

That said, it doesn't really do a lot? The other two gave a radio update and added a quest. This one just tells you it's upped the cap level to 30 and lets you get on with it...

I'm back on with the main quest for now... hoping I trigger something.

I want to find one of those 'Super Mutant Overlords'... I got a couple of mini nukes with it's name on :eyebrows:

Why can't they make the uptdate for PS3 too? Bit selfish?! I want level 30 :(

I have been playing it since yesterday, cool new weapons and a few new quests.

No bugs to report either :)

New quests?

I'm ploughing through the main quest.. which I'd basically left untouched (as the game used to end there).

I've found one of the new 'Super Mutant Overlords' in Murder Pass... who is a good bit like a normal Super Mutant, but slightly tougher to kill. I hit him with a few missiles and then gave him some mini-gun.. and then he ran off!? bit of a girl imo

Where are the new quests then? I haven't had anything apart from the level-up thing since I downloaded... no radio signals, nothing :search:

a couple of new main storyline missions is all, again you just start getting back into it and it ends, now wandering about at lev 24 with no missions or anything left to do, just wondering about until the next 2 dlc.

wish i'd kept a save before doing anchorage and pitt so I could actually use all those xp points i collected.

I don't really want to spoil it for you, there are a few extra quests as well as some side missions which are quite amusing.

Currently stuck at level 28.5 with nothing left to explore. Im the same as Jay as i collected a load of XP after levelling off in the original game, i may start over.

The new mutanats are tough, i like to sneak up on them with my poplars hood and pop a few railgun spikes in to them then snipe them with the Alien blaster :D

The Albino scorpions take some killing.

Well I have now visited every location so perhaps it is time to get the add-on packs.

My god you have been busy! I got the Explorer perk on the last Level Up and there's a stack I haven't been to... on with that next I think :D

Anywhere I should make a point of going? I've done what I think are the major hot spots... Paradise Falls, Onley, Rivet City, Dulwich Building.. anything exciting tucked away I should try? :)
