j1mb0b1
Hi all, Any advise you could give me would be good, So around 3 months ago I had a track day at oulton park. My brakes got a little hot and was fading And I had a few sparks flying out of the wheels under braking. So came off the track and called it a day, My first thought was my pads was low and thats why they were sparking, fading and also whining badly But when i took the wheel off to have a look there was still plenty on the pads. a Friend told me I could have cooked the pads hense the problems so i have put new pads on all round, I have left the disks on as they did not have any lip so did not have any reason to change them. They are no longer sparking and are not fading but under hard braking they are still whining badly i have Grooved disks, but is this normal i carn't recall them whining like this before I went to oulton park could it be that my disks are damaged in some way to ?. I dont think they are warped as I have no vibration under braking just this whining. I have J spec brakes Jamie..
bignum
Its normal to get some noise from grooved discs, like a kind of whirring sound you mean.

Yeah more of a whirring sound just seems really loud that's all. Happy you have said that, wont have to spend some more money replacing the disks Thanks
