Measure the resistance of the auto box solenoids and fit resistors to match. As for any connecting of wires you would need to look up each wires function and make a decision.

Isn't the only (albeit major) difference between J and UK the way it determines the mass of air flowing into the engine? One uses a direct MAF meter (UK?) and the other uses speed/density (J?).

ive been through the pinouts on the ecu list. i only have 2 pinout lists, a jspec and a ukspec. both the lists seem to cover auto and manual. i reckon 14 pins r used for the autobox. could b wrong tho.

just as a side note, there's 16 ecu pin differences between eurospec and jspec

Can you upload the images of these pinout diagrams so that I can snarf them for my reference, please? j-spec and UK.

I received this from a guy responsible for mapping some US Supra stock ecu's:

"Hi there. Yes, the ignition map is easy in the Japan spec car as the map is only a single map, not the dual interleaved map of the USA spec ECU. I have a number of good maps for the USA cars and Have done one ECU for some guys in Australia, unfortunately this ecu has not been tested yet as it would not work the first time we tried it do to a problem with one of the rom boards."
