lol they are the best cleaning systems in the world, load of bad press about the sales teams but the product itself is brilliant the late4st G9 is £2495.

worlds best filtation, they can sand things, shampoo carpets, engrave loads of stuff.

and if your an alergy suffer or astmatic they are brilliant as they have the deepest cleaning of any machine and filter down to hep 11.

people who have had them or have them know how good they are.

my mum has one, yes they are the best hoover around but they are bloody heavy and i think you are supposed to service them once a year or something, still £500 is a very good price as they are worth the money, good luck with the sale

NB dog the bounty hunter used to be a kirby salesman too;)

2.5k for a hoover!? One of my mates is a plumber and he just fitted a copper bath for a customer... the bath is custom made and cost £28k.. for a bath!?

Nearly took a job as a Kirby salesman back when I was about 23.

I say nearly as the interview was the first time I found out what the job actually entailed!

I've heard a little about the sale people. Care to tell us more?

In all honesty, I can't really tell you anything specific as that's just how the recruitment process was...very secretive!

The job ad was rather vague with no mention of specific roles or products and the interviews were held by a local 'area manager' in a hotel lobbey!

During the very informal interview, I recall emphasis being made on past sales experience and communication skills which you would expect. Even at this point there were hardly any details given as to what the products were, just the name of the brand and that you would work as part of a sales team before hopefully building up to train other new starts.

A very big deal was made of the amount of cash you could make, although that's probably the case for most sales jobs of this ilk.

I was offered the job on the spot basically and had to say I'd think about it and get back to him, by that point I pretty much knew it wasn't for me anyway.

well i remember we had a sales person come over with a kirby and my mum is crazy about her cream carpet, she actually installed a tap outside my house so if we come in mucky we have to wash up first lol or we aint coming in! anyways lady came over and introduced us to the kirby, then she spilt cherry juice on my living room carpet, smacked on some black shoe polish, threw on some gunky black engine oil, some makeup and finally a spoon of sticky toffee. if you guys saw my mums face you would have called the cops after laughing your ass off. anyways back to the kirby, she sprayed some of its stuff on and then set the hoover up and went over the stains and honestly they disappeared before our eyes. it actually made a clean spot on the carpet!!! honestly this is a serious bit of kit and you cant compare it to dysons etc. it simply out classes them by miles. for the price its up for, definately a bargain of a century because my dad bought it for £1600!!! (he didnt have no choice unless he liked sleeping in the shed lol :D)
