Number plates nicked - heads up!

Recommended Posts

Just gone outside to wipe the rainwater off the car after it had a double waxing yesterday to find that some pykie scum-sucking no-gooder has nicked both of my numberplates. I've a feeling they might have gone over to Leicester (won't explain here why) but in case you see a car with them on (and it'll have to Jap as it was a square rear plate) the reg is P119JMS - keep your eyes open. Police have been informed in case its been done for bilking or some other crime. 3 cars on the drive, two untouched, mine both plates ripped off. Cheers scum, may your nads rot to the size of peppercorns.

It happened to me recently too. They will probably fix them to their own car so they can get away with stealing petrol or something like that. It's a PITA but when you fix new ones make sure you use the special bolts that make the plates unremovable.

come on.... split the beans.... why do you think they have gone to Leicester ?

He probably got a speeding ticket from a camera in Leicester?

This happened to my mate and it went on for a while... her getting random speeding tickets from all other the south (she lives in Boro).. the Police were really good about it. Just an annoyance really.

Sorry to hear this Ellis.. what a pain in the arse.

Attach a pulse fed ignition coil output to the number plate bolts????

20,000 volts should be enough to put them off :D

Disclaimer - This post is intended as an attempt at poor humour and is in no way a serious suggestion that ANYONE should try this....... In the UK ;)

It's a good thing they introduced the rules which require honest people to show photo id. and leave their first-born as a deposit before they can buy new number plates, otherwise there would be criminals driving round with false registrations.

Oh, hang on ...... there's a flaw in the plan. :badidea: They're criminals......

Complete pain - Halfords don't do the import rear size in-house (only found that out after getting a new set done and when I got back found out it was square and should have been oblong - about 13" x 7" I think) and the only place in Lincoln that does is now closed until tomorrow! I hate thieves!!
