Just like filming without your knowledge. Not illegal but limited in it's usability. It depends what he plans to do with the information You may be breaching your contract with the employer for using your work Computer for issues you are not allowed to though. They could use it to say it's affecting your performance or is a abuse of company resources. Streaming video/radio etc could have a big impact on systems.
