Carl
I have a Blitz power meter and as far as Im aware you need to wire into the Pink speed signal wire from the ecu. Is this the same pink wire that you wire the fuel cut device up to? Edited April 30, 2009 by Carl (see edit history)
Hoppy
Carl don't know if you've fitted your Blitz Power Meter by now mate, but yes it is the same ecu pink wire that a (BCC/fuel cut device) connects to. I recently fitted my Blitz Power Meter using the same pink ecu wire and it is all working perfect Hope this helps mate?? Steve
JustGav
Hold on, something isn't right here. The fuel cut doesn't connect into the speed sensor at all, it connects into the MAP sensor. The speed wire wouldn't connect to this, as I said in a previous post, according to the manual it should be connected to the input of your speed converter and not after it. Hoppy
So would the correct wire be the red/black wire from the speed sensor to the speedo or odo unit?? I don't have a speed converter fitted as my car has a UK spec speedo fitted along with a UK spec modded odo unit.cheers

Hoppy
I've got the installation manual that came with the unit but it's all in japenese, so i can't make head or tail of it
JustGav
http://thor-racing.co.uk/images/non_vvti_supra.jpg That would be the speed input on the ECU, which is the pink wire... So yes you are right about it being pink, but I'm still not sure why the BCC is anywhere near that wire.
Hoppy
From memory the pink wire (pin 2) on the Thor diagram is the same pink wire that my Greddy BCC was connected to.So i'm a bit baffled now!! I will double check tommorrow to confirm if this is the case. I previously read a thread on here that stated that there is a red/black input wire that goes from the speed sensor to the odo + speedo unit, and then a pink output speed sensor wire comes from the odo + speedo unit and goes to the rest of the car?? Hoppy
I have just found the Blitz Power Meter installation manual.Link below: http://www.japrace.com/images/instructiondownloads/Blitz-Powemeter-iD-Gauge.pdf

I think you are on the money with the pink wire for the speed sensor. Have a look here, http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/bcc/bcc_install/bcc_intro.htm. The only thing that crosses my mind, is perhaps you have a combined fuel/cut speedo convertor unit??

Hoppy
After i fitted the power meter i compared the speed reading it was giving to my cars speedo and it was within 2mph accurate, and this was before i calibrated it. It's hard to tell if the hp reading is accurate but it's currently displaying approx 350 bhp at 0.7 bar, with my current single turbo setup. JustGav
According to the pin outs on both UK and jspec. The BCC should be intercepting E9-B62 (Black with a yellow strip according to the wiring diagram I have)
Hoppy
It looks like my Greddy BCC was wired up wrong then, as it was deffo linked to a pink wire and not that black/yellow turbo pressure wire.(E9-B62).Come to think i previously had a "fault 34" popping up before i removed the BCC. Here's my previous thread on this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=155544&highlight=turbo+pressure+fault

Carl
So to clarify, is it ok to wire both to the pink wire? and, I still have not wired either up yet, been too lazy. Must do it next weekend.
