The company in the US have a video of how they strip it, what is done and how they test it at ATF. The OEM toyota sprags are weaker design so they modify it and weld something of their own with stronger material. They don't sell this part over the counter though and you will have to send your box in to them for it to be done. Great video indeed and definitely worth the watch as they tear the box down, inspect it, tell you what they do and show you the parts they use as well as the test they conduct on a machine. Has nobody here tried the 5spd auto boxes from other Toyotas or is it an issue with the ECU/ECM not seeing the other extra gear or how to run the engine with it?
