Vaughany
Ex 2 Para myself mate, how are you fella, another Airborne Warrior;) I have a few questions mate if you dont mind as it may help me to answer your dilema. Were you a regular or TA attached to 3 Para If you were a reg, did you get MD (Medically discharged) Was the injury cause whilst on active duty What caused the injury Did you report it to the Medical Officer Did you have PAX insurance or any other forces insurance whilst on active service Sorry for all the questions mate but if you were a regular and were M.D based on the injuries, you should be able to apply for some sort of pension, not sure if your are TA but fairly sure the procedure would be the same or similar. The time limit on claims is 3 years so you need to move fast if you feel you have a claim. Good luck
philstowell
Cheers for the reply buddy. but im still servin, im in the RAF Regt and i was on tacp back then, did 2 years down there, what a job, id give up my tapes to get back down there. Vaughany
I hope it all works out for you mate Not sure about Badger mate, there are a few guys I know that are still serving with the 2 para etc but I left in late 1994. Most of the guys I served with have now left and are doing other things - mostly privately security work out in Iraq/Afghan. Hard to let go and be around civvies I suppose! Once again I hope you get what you deserve.
