Guest proburt Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 No No no. dont use any thing but the factory fluids in the getrag 6 speed. go to the dealer and get the factory stuff, it has verry specific properties that make it compatable with the syncros in that gearbox. the fluid is very expensive by the way. oilman Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Getrag six speed boxes run on an ATF as they need a thin oil. Have a look at these http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-442-atfs.aspx The Amsoil ATF is tried and tested and is a much better quality than the Toyota stuff.
