leon
Is there a way of checking if your supra has been chipped? I had a lengthly conversation but engines with my dad. I was saying that there seems to be dead spots in the acceleration. he explained that there could be many things that could possibly cause this or add to it. one of the questions he asked my to find out is if we could see if it had been chipped? does this have to be checked on say a rolling road or is there an easy way of finding out? JustGav
It is very unlikely that it has been chipped... have a look around the ECU in passenger footwell and you will see if anything has been patched in there.
Animal
Dead easy. Do you have a Supra? Yes? It's not chipped. I'll let the tech guys carry on from here.

JustGav
thats what i thought, did not think you could chip Supra's It isn't impossible, however it hasn't been done often and certainly not by the likes of superchips.

Another thought, what RPM are you seeing the dead spot? There is a valve on the intake which could be sticky.
tDR
It's the lack of turbos that's doing it!
Matt H
ECU is in the passenger footwell. If it has unlikely been "chipped", then you will be able to see something out of the norm glued in to the ECU at some point.
