Tannhauser
It was the big 8ugger on the left, who now has gained a few grammes of lead in his ear. He's a monster!
Pete
I'm also interested in how far a trained wildebeeste, using its nose, could roll an onion. I'd like to see that. How far?
Tannhauser
I'd like to see that. How far? Here we go: From Guinness Book of Records, 2009 edition On 26th February 1989, Fluffy, a wildebeest trained by Dirk Blomfoent, pushed an onion 11.9 km (7.4 miles) in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, South Africa. The push took 3 hours and 14 minutes. Blomfoent celebrated Fluffy's success by eating him, along with the onion and a butternut squash mash. Lbm
Jeez, they're nasty bites. I've lost track of your dogs - which one did the damage? I didn't mean to imply I have made a serious study of chimp attacks - it's more pootling around the internet or other sources, collating bits and pieces and keeping a critical eye on the quality of the evidence. A big interest of mine is non-scientific belief systems - everything from anti-oxidants to 'police psychics' to Chinese medicine to people who invoke quantum mechanics to 'explain' ESP to Zionist conspiracy theories. I'm also interested in how far a trained wildebeeste, using its nose, could roll an onion. I'm changing my sig today. Thanks for that

Chris Wilson
It was the only time I have nearly passed out in a pub and it not being through alcohol I was being a clever bugger and decided to go for a pint or two as soon as I got out of the docs, who clipped up the deeper bites. Not a good idea, probably delayed shock It did sting a bit.... Pete was there to witness me slowly going white then green.
Chris Wilson
That wasn't the cute puppy was it? No he's still a cutie, but he's grown a bit now. It was a rescue Anatolian who suddenly had a strop.

Pete
Pete was there to witness me slowly going white then green. ..don't forget the blood seeping through the bandages. I've never seen you refuse a pint before - I was really quite concerned at that point.
The Raven
No he's still a cutie, but he's grown a bit now. It was a rescue Anatolian who suddenly had a strop. Wow, lucky that wasnt the Mrs or a smaller person. What on earth do you do with a dog that big that has those kind of issues?

TLicense
The push took 3 hours and 14 minutes. Blomfoent celebrated Fluffy's success by eating him, along with the onion and a butternut squash mash. Brilliant!
RiceRocket
And here is the most recent attack, only a couple of months back: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2009/03/04/2009-03-04_charla_nash_woman_mauled_by_pet_chimp_tr.html I read recently that she's lost her sight but regained some neural function. paul mac
Jesus Christ!* (does contain potentially upsetting images) *expression, not the man himself sadly this was probably an accident waiting to happen and who knows what a life that poor chimp lead, there really should be a law against keeping a primate like this as a "pet", how can keeping such an intelligent animal, isolated from its own kind and in a house be right, i blame the owner, for gods sake just get a cat or a dog
tbourner
Jesus Christ!* Someone sent that to me a couple of days ago - it's the last story Cliff posted in the original post.
