Mechanical odometer

Not quite sure why a mechanical one is better, it looks more old-fashioned and adds a few years on the car. But as i've found out mechanical odo's are only on facelifted non vvti supras, all vvti's have digital odo's again

So i hope that toyota didn't make a whole new system just for the one odd year, before vvti, for the mechanical odo and that it can be changed to digital. Another thing i don't get is the analog clock, but that's not such a problem;)
