edd_t
The door locks on the GF's Golf are doing something funny. If using the remote, all 4 doors will lock perfect. But if using the interior switch to lock all doors, something strange happens. All 4 pins drop and you hear the clunck and the doors lock. About 1 second later the front passenger side and rear driver side locks clunck again, unlock and the pins pop up. Its only started doing this over the last couple of days. Anyone got any ideas? JustGav
One of the door sensors is picking up that a door is open... It pushes them back up if can't lock all the doors I believe.
Multics
There's a little electronic box inside the door with the locking mechanism. Some contacts need resoldering, it's a very common issue on pre-2001 Golf mk4's. There's a how-to on uk-mkivs.net
edd_t
strange that it doesnt do it from the remote though, i would have thought the sensors would have worked the same in both situations. and its a 2005 model so not really that old. I'll check it out though cheers guys
