I saw them in Leeds last Friday. I  them. :)

Bit of a weird reaction to the set. I've seen them quite a few times before and it was definitely the strangest gig in terms of audience. Some of the people at the back were talking most of the way through, the swines!

Anyway, the new stuff is cool. They did lots of old stuff too (Revolutionary Kind, Get myself arrested, Rhythm and Blue Alibi to name a few). I liked Airstream Driver - they went mental on the guitars at the end.

And to top off the evening a rather strange man decided to storm the stage in his Y-fronts. Ben Ottewell was decidedly shocked. I saw him (the pants man) outside walking away still in his pants - we were wondering whether he'd get his clothes back or not?

Edit - I've just seen you put Airstream Driver on your post - you'll love it!

which is probably for the best as I usually sing louder than Ben :D as Charlotte will testify :p

Blue moon rising! :D

I think you'll find the whole of the audience at Southampton Guildhall could testify. :D

Saw them at Connect festival last year when they played the whole album "Bring It On".

Was

Loads of people are doing that whole album thing, it's such a wicked idea.

Well - Gomez were excellent.

Crowd was a bit lacklustre - not many people know the new album yet, I guess - but I certainly did my bit - you would have been proud of my singing efforts, Mike! :)

I was surprised that they opened with Airstream Driver, and disappointed that they played nothing from In Our Gun, but they played most of the new album, which was great - I thought the album as recorded was slightly too mellow for my liking, but the tracks had so much more energy the way they played them live. Top one!!

I saw Wonderstuff do an "Eight-Legged Groove Machine" last year and I've got tickets to see Carter USM on two consecutive nights later in the year - they're doing all four of their 4 albums over 2 nights! :D

They did shot shot at the Leeds gig, which was great cos it's one of my favourites! I thought the same about the reaction of the crowd though, they didn't get going until the end.

However, they didn't play many off the new album, mostly old stuff - first three songs were old songs - they opened with Revolutionary Kind. Maybe it was a different set list?!
