i am after lowering my supra but not to keen on coilovers for road use.whats the best set up for all round use.

How will you adapt the car to NOT use coilovers?? Coilovers are the ideal setup for any car, the word doesn't imply a stiff/harsh setup, that would come from the spring and damper rates you choose - which you'll most likely need to increase if you decide to significantly lower the car. The yellow stock J-Spec suspension is hard to beat untless you're going to invest a decent amount of money IMHO.

Supra has coilovers as o/e, i guess your refering to adjustable platform coilovers.

Eibachs and o/e dampers work quite well, you'll need the car re aligned though if you lower it

I've just fitted some custom valved Bilsteins from Chris wilson to match with my HKS springs.

Car feels superb now, not too harsh, but handles great.

I am glad you like the combination, the early HKS springs were a good rate and none linear, too, shame they stopped doing them. The Eibachs are a bit too low really, and funny rates.
