Guest Dave20VT Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 (edited) hi mymy drivers seat is stuck as far back as it goes , one side moves freely and the side closest to the centre console is wedged solid I've checked for coins and bits that might be stuck but no joy it's winding me up LOL Any ideas ? Guigsy Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 mine could have been stuck since i got the car but i never move it Remove the plastic covers with a screwdriver (they just pop off) and undo the bolts. i think there is 5 bolts in total under 4 covers. then pull the seat out and have a look. dangerous brain Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 Quite probably the mechanism that drives the seat is fecked. Its a plastic worm gear and will shred easily. tooley Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 i had this exact same problem and it was the mechanism around the motor all in bits. toyota do sell them still they sell the motor but the mechanism is part of the frame and sold apart and that little item is £600 so i just pushed it back manually and its now stuck where it is Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
