Fearless
I have managed to tear mine off, I can probably solder the 2 wires back onto the connector but does anyone know if it matters which way round they are because I have no way of knowing which wire to each connector. If it helps it is the sensor nearest the gearbox and one wire is blue and the other is black and white.
merckx
Why don't you compare it with the other one and have a look of the wiring diagram. Fearless
Thanks for the link to the wiring diagram, unfortunately the front sensor has different coloured wires but it looks like it does not matter which way round it is wired but if it does I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right
Homer
The plugs and connectors are available from Toyota (though are quite expensive for what they are at around £10). Once you have these it's easy to swap them over if you get it wrong on the first try. Do you have an ECU which can monitor the cam position sensor reading? Fearless
Do you have an ECU which can monitor the cam position sensor reading? I have an AEM ECU so I guess yes, and a new connector from Toyota is probably my best bet f it is around a tenner. will save a lot f hassle trying to reconnect the wires withe a soldering iron

I didn't realise that at the time I pulled the wires out of the connector, and ended up buying a new sensor from Mr.T

Fearless
Well sods law I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right but got it wrong For future reference it does matter which way round and on the rear cam position sensor the blue wire is to the front and the black/white wire to the rear
