supra-ireland
I'm looking for a set of J-Spec Turbos. I'm looking for something cheap and reliable as opposed to high powered. If there are none available here can someone suggest a reasonably priced set that I could buy off somewhere like eBay? Also, I'm looking for details of anyone that reconditions Turbos. -Cheers... Paul Whiffin
Hi chap, I keep rebuilt turbos in stock if needed, 2 specs, details of which can be seen on my website here http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=2011&Itemid=53 Thanks Paul
Pixelfill
Slight Hijack, but I'm sure the OP won't mind Paul - couple of questions: Stage 1 hybrid rebuilt stock Jap spec turbos. Rebuilt using steel shafts and wheels. Can run up to around 1.4 bar boost with supporting mods. Require exchange units. Do these require "supporting mods" from the outset, or will they be happy with stock ECU and fuelling at stock boost. If supporting mods are required, what do you suggest as a minimum? The exchange units, what condition do you need as a minimum? Cheers Mike
Paul Whiffin
Yes, they are just bolt on units, they'll be fine on stock ecu/fuelling. Obviously you can further with them if you have injectors/ecu/etc. if you want to. Exchange units need to be rebuildable so nothing with damaged housings, etc. Ta

What power can the stage one and stage two deliver in your experience Paul Would you be looking at a set of drop in 550's and an EMU if you were full BPU for the stage two Just questions a noob may have around this

Power wise, to be honest we hardly ever see the power figures as we map on the road, best bet is to have a look on here for some power figures? Should get an easy 450bhp though, some more than that depending on supporting mods like cams, headwork. 550cc injectors will take you to 1.4 bar max I'd say, we did one last week and the injectors maxed out at that boost. So if you want to go 1.5 bar fit 650cc to be safe. You'll also need an emanage yep. ta
