Changing wiper blades :)

No laughing! :)

I was at Halfrauds the other day to get some new wiper blades as mine are a little tatty. I saw the Bosche ones & remembered people had recommended them on here.

There was a sign, saying fitting for £2.99 or whatever & I had a little chuckle at the people who must waste their money on that!

Guess what? I went to swap them this morning & I can't get the damn things off!

I don't mean the rubber, I mean the whole top part of the wiper arm. In the manual, you just push the clip in & pull the wiper away from the arm, but it seems jammed solid! Obviously I don't want to go mad and rip the whole thing off (like my wing mirror!)

Any help :stupid:

Are you pushing it in the right direction.

Push in the clip and move the wiper blade assembly down the wiper arm first towards the grill infront of the windscreen, it will become obvious then. :p

PMSL! I just went down there thinking "but, that's exactly what I was doing" & tried it - it popped straight off! Took about 30 seconds to change the pair.

God knows what I was doing. Probably pushing it the wrong way!

When I looked in the manual, I even though you had to use a paperclip to hook it out or something, I now know that's part of the arm assembly! :)

What a pleb I am sometimes :) (err, should I be admitting how stupid I can be?!)
