Aerotop Dave
While browsing for a DVD burner my eye caught these video capture card doobries. Do I want one? What can they be used for? Something like this: http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/hardware/multimediaandspeakers/productView.htm?quicklinx=DHM
Digsy
Analogue capture cards are pants. Not good for anything more than grabbing short, low-res (VCR quality) images for messing about IMHO. I struggled to get one to work for months. If you want to get into video editing, buy yourself a DV bridge like the ADCV-50 from Canopus. It will cost you £150 but it is the best way to get high quality video from your tv into your PC. What a DV bridge won't do, however, is actually give you TV channels on your PC. The one on DABs will do that.
TazUK
Could always get yourself a PVR card and then your PC would be like TiVo or Sky+. Pause/Rewind live TV, etc...
