But here goes..

I can't decide whether i want a Nissan Skyline or Toyota Supra.

Performance wise, what edges it? Or are they very similar?

I've always like both, but then i look at the other and think phoarrrr.

Anyone owned both, or any opinions?

Regards

I have owned both a few times and look what I drive ;)

The Skyline is more expensive to look after and tune, its factory finish is poor and it has a nasty interior, however the power delivery and handling is amazing, tough choice, as Jamie said, get a ride in both

I have to add this info goes for the GTR range, the GTS is a very different car and is the not a match for a TT

What do you mean very different?

Can i pick your brain?

Well if i had a supra, i'd only be looking at a N/A to start with.

My old one is for sale

Your age is not really going to allow a GTR, the GTS has the looks but is not a great car, it is worth getting a drive in one, they are RWD and fun but build quality is not great

Well, in that case, you draw out a wad of cash, probably 12k will be more than adequate for anything less than a time warp R33 GTR or ultra low mileage, very late VVTi manual, you read the ads, make an appointment to view, wave some of the readies to show you have the means to do an on the spot deal, ask for a test drive, try a few others, make your decision, and part with said wedge in exchange for the chosen car.

Don't tell sellers about the chartered accountant bit, A: They might think you are connected with the dreaded tax man, or B: They might decide you can afford more than an impoverished and scruffy slob like me :) There's an art in when to wave the wad, and how much of it to claim is all you have in the world, leaving the rest out of sight. It's an art form acquired with time ;)
