P 17EED
Caliper spreader tool thing out of machine mart. Best tenner I ever spent. Before I had that I used a big Screwdriver and prised them back but The proper tool for the job makes life a lot easier. The cube your talking about is for wind back calipers, I dont thing supra calipers wind in, I'm not sure but I think they just slide in so a normal caliper spreader should do the trick. as it has top hap brakes u properly just push the piston back in! Rinus
so nu push and turn? I had to do this lately with an audi 80, turn and push is very for jspec and uk brakes its just pushing back the pistons and thats it? I have to do the same job these days with the uk brakes, dba4000 with hawk hp+pads and goodridge brake lines, think it will go even easier with the brake lines removed... pjavon
So are the rear calipers wind in or not? Got to do mine this week, I always thought they wound in because of the handbrake but could be wrong.

But as you say you don't need it for the supra, front or rear.

JustGav
Really should use a wind back tool...... Some calipers require turning as the piston goes back, so it is a useful thing to have for other cars anyway. EDIT: Already been mentioned anyway. supra_si
g clamp worked a treat however ................... i cant get the two bolts undone that hold the caliper bracket on. ggrrrrrr these things are never easy, gonna try and use my mates impact drive wrench tomorrow so calipers and pads back on for now, They are really scored on the inner pads and even after 3 months of use, do you think its worth getting new pads again to put on with the new discs? Ideally you'd change the pads too. Or sand them back a bit with emery cloth if they're really new and expensive.

Patience and strength, try to use two spanners ended over each other, "ring over open" to give better length and leverage.

Guest Budz86
Get a breaker bar on them! Jack the car up, wheel off then turn them so you get a better angle on the bolts.
