supramemole
hey all. I am offering carbon fiber overlays on there dash pieces. The material is a 2x2 3K twill. they are all the pieces. the ones not shown are the upper and gear surround. those are also included. The deal is i need your pieces to cover. you would send me your pieces and i would overlay them and send back, lead times are 3 weeks to get back to you. the total for this service is 550 USD shipped back to you. these are cleared as well for the UV protection with PPGs high solids clear, 3 coats which give it that high luster. Also if you want anything extra meaning putting a 60mm/52mm gauge or covering up holes in the dash just mark on the dash where you want them and I can cut out the holes before finishing them up, i am putting 3 60mm on the one panel and a 60mm in the same area as the cigar lighter. I just dont have the gauge yet to drill the hole. thanks again Chris here are the pics.

supramemole
its alot of work involved. all the panels will be striped down to the plastic, then covered from there. but thanks for the commits. Chris

supramemole
in person they look amazing, im not a big fan of the overlays on the dash pieces, but i really love how these came out... either way thats ok... its not for everyone...i was just offering it for poeple that might want it. I know on that famous auction site the sticker kits are running around 200 and they peel and turn yellowish after time, and saw another one offering the same service for 1000 plus, this will never peel and turn yellow or delaminate after time... but thanks again Chris Chris

gordy07
Looks good chris i have the sitck on kit which came from USA too, although it was only £150 what makes this worth the extra.
supramemole
the CF goes to the edges.. meaning no gaps... its a high luster, 3 coats of clear, which mean if you scratch it you can acutally be wetsanded and buffed out. and the most important thing, to me anyways, is that it will not peel off OR delaminate or turn yellow. meaning you wont have to pull these off and repaint the dash pieces in a couple years... i know its a big problem in Florida with the sun and heat. ans also everyone runs the stick on type.. this would be more unique. SUPRALOOPY
I have the stick on kit too. I think its rubbish but thats just me. I'm going to scrap it and repaint it. BTW that will cost alot less than $550 as I think even though there is alot involved its alot of money for a change of dash.
supramemole
again just offering the service.. Chris
jim
The materials alone are expensive enough, it's notoriously difficult to work with even on relatively straight pieces, the shape and contours of the dash panels would be a complete nightmare I expect, and a specialised service that few can offer. I don't think the price is too far off tbh, just a pity the exchange rate's not great.
supramemole
thanks again. its not like bondo and some primer.. you only have one chance at it and if its off a tad bit the piece is ruined and you have to peel it off and start over again. I have gone threw SOOOO much material just making little things here and there. something that looks easy enough really isnt...LOL... but anywho. thanks again Chris
Scott
Lovely but far too pricey. Everything else you provide seems really reasonable too. I guess the price must be justified in the workmanship but i just don't see it. I would rather have a few other bits off of you for the same money. supramemole
i understand... these pieces are really time consuming. the other pieces i make its molds.. i lay the cf into it..do a quick trim around the egdes.. so you basically paying for the material used... these however takes some time to trim everything and make the fitment right. chris
19pjbsupra97
i have done this myself... i did it very crapy last year with red and black "carbon" if was fiber glass and this year i got real carbon and doing it to the quality of those pics... i think i have maybe 20 hours into my dash plus about $100 for the materials... if i wasnt a hands on type i would laugh at this $550! that is an insane price for such a great product... i guess the UK doesnt feel the same way about carbon as we do in the states... but Chris great work man! my pieces will look that good and no pics dont do it justice at all... colsoop
Looks nice. The price is reasonable for the materials and labour involved The crap exchange rate doesn't really help though
RED_ROCKET
looks nice but for 80 quid you can get something almost the same
Angarak
As an initial cost it looks pricey, but in the long term it would pay you back as it wouldnt need re-doing down the line as Chris points out. If you're only going to keep your Supra for a short while it may not appeal as a stick on kit would no doubt last the duration of your ownership, but if you see yourself keeping it for a good while and you like bling dashes its not a bad investment. Having been in the composites game, I know how much labour would be required to produce a mint bling CF product.
Dnk
Quite interested in this, do you have a list of parts you can do ? would it be possible to do steering column covers, ashtray, door handles, bonnet scoop, fan/rad surround etc etc

I agree with what Colsoop has written. Best of luck Chris.
