StuartW
Hi I have rebuilt the getrag after lunching all 2nd gear parts. Whilst it was apart this plastic oil diffuser part got broken! Its white and like a stretched diamond shape. About 2 inches long and an inch wide. It has a half semi circular pretusion stuck out in the middle. Toyota do not recognise it and its not listed in the parts PDF here (First download 8th file) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=126342 Do i need it? It sandwiches between the Clutch housing and the main gear cluster housing. It seems like it would help oil retention around the selector shaft. It sits in the casting where the gearbox breathes its oil to atmosphere. Hope someone can help p.s. cant gets pics up until tonight:rolleyes: Edited April 25, 2009 by StuartW (see edit history)

merckx
I had a look on my epc earlier but couldn't see it, it's sometimes difficult to recognise the shape of some parts. Have you tried the online epc? http://www.toyodiy.com/ Edited April 25, 2009 by merckx (see edit history)

Chris Wilson
It's to help stop oil loss through the breather, without it you MIGHT get some oil loss through the vent.
