tbourner
Our 3 year old female moggy Spooky has run away! She went missing on Tuesday and we haven't seen her since. Her brother is moping about not eating now as well. How long do female cats normally go wandering for? We're hoping she'll come home. She hasn't got a collar but is microchipped. Is it worth printing some flyers to put up? Do people actually look at those kinds of thing!!
Ewen
Hope she turns up safe and sound. Definitely go with the flyers (they have worked for me and also others I know), and notify the local pet rescue centres etc if you haven't already. Lovely cat, good luck. Homer
Sorry to hear this They can go away for some time if they've found a partner. Definetly go for the flyer route, but keep in mind that cats can travel miles in a day or two. As Ewen says notify the RSPCA and local centres. How many cats do you have? Any other females? tbourner
Nope just the 2 siblings. We thought she might have been put out by the dog turning up, but he's been here for months and the cats have been happily living upstairs since then. Holden1989
Sorry to hear this, our little girl goes wondering for a day and we worry Put a poster up in the local shop maybe?
Lbm
Sorry to hear this. Love the last shot. Reminds of Karl Malden's nose (The Streets of San Francisco) Hope she turns up soon
extendor
We had a strange letter in the local paper this week. It might be worth doing the same where you are. One eagle eyed resident had spotted a lot more missing cat posters going up in our area and he asked the question if this was a coincidence or someone actually stealing cats. I have not seen any replies yet but I will let you know if anything comes of his enquiry. best wishes for a quick return btw

juanchan
My parents cat started disappearing for days, even weeks, on end, but she always came home to snuggle on top of the boiler eventually. Fingers crossed for you dude!
edd_t
know what its like when your cats go missing. My old cat Bruiser on 3 occasions went missing for around 5-6 weeks! One of the cats I have at the moment, she has gone walkies for about 1 week a couple of times. They always seem to come home fatter than when they left! tbourner
Yeah it's a good thing that most people will see a cat and try to call it over, and then will give it some food of some kind - people who don't like cats just walk on by so hopefully she won't be mistreated by anyone. The main concern is if she's injured, I know cats sometimes run away when they know they're ill as well, our old cat did that and never came back (he was about 16 years old though!!!). Might make up some posters but we're just crossing fingers at the moment that she shows up one day.
Scott
Is she dressed? Just as you mention them being siblings. if she is dressed its unlikely she will go away for any length of time. I know that males can go away for 3-4 days at a time. No idea about females although i know dressed/not makes a difference. We have lost 3 cats buddy. 2 of them were hit by cars and retrieved/buirried, the first one we just never seen again. So i know the worry you're going through. Fingers crossed for you, remember to keep us updated.

JohnnyW
Hope she turns up, it's a horrible feeling when they go missing. Such a lovely little cat, picture 2 is hilarious! From the photos it looks like it's an inquisitive moggy so it's maybe just out exploring.
SupraGirlie
My parents cat vanished the day they went on holiday last week, and I was supposed to be looking after her! Luckily she came back 3 days later, after I wasted hours searching for her.
Lukeyboy2k
Sorry to hear this. All good advice above. If it's any consolation one of my cats went walkabout for two months, then came back. A few years later he went missing for six months before returning. Maybe he didn't like me or something?...
Mike
Is she dressed? Just as you mention them being siblings. What does that mean? sorry I'm not a cat person.... That said, we had a cat way back when I was very young and that one disappeared for a couple of weeks and came back. Hang in there bud
Burna
Definetily get the flyers done asap. Go to all your local vets and ask them to put them up in there waiting rooms too, I always read them when I'm there. Animal owners will always pay attention to flyers like this as they know how it feels or would feel to be in your position. Have you had a wander about and checked you neighboors gardens? I hope she turns up soon, I know it doesn't feel nice not knowing where she is
Abz
Hope she turns up soon mate... Don't worry she will be fine, I had my cat stolen a couple of years back (ginger coat) so I know how you feel at the moment. Normally Black cats are more adventures! She most probs saw another Supra & thought it was you she was following Put up posters as everyone mentioned & you most probs done this already but just make sure all the neighbours know about her disappearence. SUPRASUZUKI
Phone your local vets and check / leave your details. I did this when our cat went missing. He was at the vets after being hit by a car (the driver had the good grace to take him there) but he was DOA. Hope you have a better luck mate. RIP Henley:(
Scott
Ahh, maybe thats a term used in Scotland. Dressed means her tubes are cut to stop her from producing eggs etc. It stops them from going into heat and obviously pregnancy.
tbourner
Oh right yeah she has been snipped, as has her brother. I'm also not sure if that means she should be less likely to roam though - maybe some sad little boy cat has fallen for her despite her piping issues, and wants to take her away from all this and treat her right, and says it will never be an issue that she can't have his kittens.
