monkey3
I need 2 HID lamps 6000k 9005 fitment - just the lamps. I don't need the kit as I got one off Bolarbag. Unfortunately the lamps were for the UK headlights \ fitment (9006). I've found a couple of places on-line that advertise just the lamps, but I'm not sure I trust any of them. Can anyone recommend anywhere? Thanks.
edge
I have used these with no issues. Sure they sell just the lamps

(my kit's plugs are the same) Yes I think they are, give them a call to check. If they are not sure then let me know as I have a kit sitting in the garage and I can check. Scott
Sorry to butt in here but how do you take the bulbs out? I tried to pull them out but was scared i might break them. Are they just really really hard to pull out or is there a method?

monkey3
I'm not sure I understand. The ballast is the separate box that is connected by wires and plugs to the bulbs.
Scott
I'm not sure I understand. The ballast is the separate box that is connected by wires and plugs to the bulbs. lol ok the ballast has wires coming out of it going into the bulb holder. The bulb is in the bulb holder. Mine appears attached, ie i can't remove it. I tried to pull it out, i pulled bloody hard, but it didn't budge. I guessed it was either fixed in or there is a specific method to removing it. When i got the kit the bulbs were already attached in little clear plastic tubs. I tried to remove the bulb so that i could take it out the tub without breaking it (the tub) but i couldn't. I instead smashed the tub to get the bulbs out. There is nothing actually wrong with my kit but i just want to know if its possible... with mine. I'm curious though, how do you get those protective covers off? Did you just break yours? Thats what i ended up doing.

Thats what i ended up doing. Mine didn't have them. The bulbs I had came in hard blister packs and had a soft foam cover over the electrode and arc tube.
