Guest Malamute
Hi all, Need a bit of advice, car has been stood for about six weeks - battery went flat and set off laserline alarm about 3 weeks ago - quick solution - disconnect battery. Recharged battery overnight last night and came to start car today - turns over fine and dandy but will not fire ?????? Spoke to laserline about possible immobilisation on fuel pump circuit but to no avail. Only thing I have noticed is that I cannot hear the fuel pump priming up ? Any help appreciated as going on holiday at 4 in the morning Many thanks Gary
Guest Rafsen
Hi Mate, Im new to the Supra scene but had a similar problem where the car wouldnt start. I would check the fuel pump to see if theres any fuel comming through when you tick it over. My problem was that the fuel pump ECU (found in the boot, passenger side quarter) had buggered up. i was told that dissconnecting this, then firing it up, then reconnecting the ECU sometimes works.... it didnt for mine but give it a go. Hope you get it sorted!

Chris Wilson
It's almost certainly an alarm problem. Get an auto electrician to bypass it. Prefereably bin the damned thing! Good luck. Why are you called malamute,., have you got an Alaskan dog or something? Just curious. I love Alaskan Malamutes. The car probably wants a few laps of Oulton, it's getting lazy in its old age...

I had a similar problem with my car one of the immobilizers If not both have desided not to let you start the car you will have to bypass these ....probably? Guest Malamute
Thanks chaps, I will call an electrician when I return from Amsterdam. Chris, I have had siberian huskies, but have yet to own a Malamute, it is one of my favourite working dogs, but very difficult to obtain in the UK as I am sure you are aware. Guest Malamute
Just a quick update for the benefit of others in a similar position. The fuel pump relay had decided to give up the ghost after being stood unused for six weeks. Total cost of parts to fix £12, Thank you to all who replied. Guest sidewayssupra
If this is on the mk1V, can you tell me where the fuel pump relay is, I am having similar problems, got mine running monday, after putting a good second hand pump on, to find today, no go, turns over great, will not fire, up until this week car has been a brilliant starter and runner, have owned it now for 4 years.
