bigcol
CHECK OUT THESE TYRES ! These tyres are made in South Carolina , USA . SEE THROUGH TYRES. Radical new tyre design by Michelin. The next generation of tyres. They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show. Yes, those are 'spoke' like connections to the inner part of the tyre from the outside tread 'wrap!' The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion.... Makes you wonder how the ride feels doesn't it? These tyres are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for the police is that "stingers" will not work on these. Just think of the impact on existing technology: A. no more air valves... B. no more air compressors at gas stations... C. no more repair kits... D. no more flats... These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. Discuss

erol_h
it looks like if you corner too hard the tyre would give in
Guest blueangel
looks like in the last pix he IS cornering quite hard and they look like they are doing the job quite well
Guest blueangel
no more blow outs eh and i would imagine the outer wall would be covered for safety reasons ie things getting inside the tyre so in the end they would probally just look like a normal tyre. erol_h
plus it wouldnt work if you have big breaks as the alloy would need to be bigger and the tyre would be too big unless they can make lower profile tyres
