fessen
Hi guys Possibly going to see a car, but want to get a hpi check done now, to make sure all kosher and safe. Any sites that offer a good hpi car check and lots of details but not that expensive? Cheers

Vicky
I can check for recorded total loss claims for free, but remember it is only 'recorded' claims.
supra_aero
RAC has gone up to £9.99 now hasnt it? It has but at least its a reputable firm who wont spam your email and text you and sell on your mobile number etc. etc. Hence I'd pay the extra. Plus they cover you to a relatively high amount if I recall if they provide you duff information. Not worth splitting hairs over a fiver to be honest. I'd rather do it once and do it properly (I did also spend 30 mins looking for the cheapest and came to my senses after doing a cheap car check, which offered patchy info at best)

Getrag
Just get the full RAC vehicle check which includes HPI, complete peace of mind. I dont know how much it is now but I got it 4 years ago and a couple hundred is worth it for this level of car and anything over £5k.
