Kim1978
Last year I had an AVCR boost controller installed. Now, the problem is I can not regulate the boost pressure. Regardless what I set it at I just wanna run directly of the wastegate (~1.5bar) First I thought a vacum hose popped of but that is not the case. Then I was sure it was the solenoid since it is not "ticking" or giving that charateristic sound it does, so I tried with a new solenoid but the problem remained - the boost pressure can not be controlled. So what the h3ll can it be? Basically there are only three parts, the solenoid which is fine, the pressure sensor which register the boost just fine and the head unit which displays everything properly without any problems. The guy who installed it for me told me I have a defect head unit but I am not so sure about that. If it was broken, then it shouldn't display all the other settings properly. Could it be a faulty installation? The guy has done a ton of these installation so he is quite confident the installation is ok. I can also point out I bought the AVCR kit used and the supra is a MKIV Manual Euro-Spec.
ShamelessTT
Do you have a restrictor ring installed? are the CATS out 1st and 2nd?. A boost controller cannot lower boost, only raise it. There must be some restriction (i.e Cats or RR) to keep it down as the waste gate cant handle it, atleast in the JSpecs. Have you tried it with the Boost controller OFF? what boost do you get? Kim1978
where can I find that thread you are talking about? Do you have a restrictor ring installed? are the CATS out 1st and 2nd?. A boost controller cannot lower boost, only raise it. There must be some restriction (i.e Cats or RR) to keep it down as the waste gate cant handle it, atleast in the JSpecs. Have you tried it with the Boost controller OFF? what boost do you get? It is a EU-spec ---> no RR is necessary. Cats 1 and 2 are out. With the boost controller off, or on, regardless what setting I have it runs at 1.5bar.

Kim1978
any other ideas? When I gun it, it hit 1.3bar but after 1sec drops down to 1.1bar and stays there...
