Did Ferrari use the Supra as a base design?

Yes they did - for the 550/575/599.

 

They have a *mint* condition Supra in the factory at Maranello and each time they design a new front engined GT/Supercar they refer back to the bible that is this Supra for inspiration and guidance.

hahahahaha! I have to admit when that Ferrari first came out alot of magazines said they copied (or used) the design of some of the supra.
