MichaelG
Oh great lol Any ideas what years they had bigger brakes from ? Can anyone shed any light on this ?
Bobbeh
The bigger brakes meaning the UK spec type.. I think you could get them optionally fitted from the factory from the outset.
MichaelG
Oh right i see ! Thanks Bobbeh I know that the UK bigger ones have "Supra" on the side of them and the smaller Jap ones dont, so is there any other way they can be different or is that it ? Bobbeh
Yeah, the caliper is much bigger and if you have 16 inch Supra alloys, you must have jspecs as they wont fit over UK ones.
CJ
My J-spec smaller ones had Supra on them too so that is not a definitive
MichaelG
Feck.......this is gettin complicated now lol !! What about part numbers ? Are they stamped into the caliper anywhere ? I believe the J-Specs are only two pot and the UK are four pot ? So as long as i get a two pot caliper i will be ok yeah ?
Whitesupraboy2
yes micheal you are correct bout the 2 pot and 4 pot. thats why my post says smaller Jspec as it was optional extra to have bigger brakes referred to as UK brakes. if your buying off of Dude, he will definatly send u right ones. he's seen a few in his time

MichaelG
Just remind me not to do the brake fluid next time lol !! Its so much easier when you can blame someone and make them sort it out !!
MichaelG
Off to get a couple tonight, seeing it was the last caliper of the 4 of them that split, will i need to bleed ALL the brake lines again or just the last one ? I assume the last one will be the only one with air in now, from when i let the peddle back up or does it not work like that ?
