dacky20
HELP! HEATER MATRIX? CRACKED HOSE MAYBE HELP! hi, Im new to the supra owners club and have recently purchased a n/a supra the only trouble been is when i was driving down the motor way last night my window all of a sudden steamed up (very quickly) . there was a strong smell in the car also ! maybe coolant Im not sure ! So this morning i was looking round the car and noticed i had wet carpets (passenger side) so i have taken the carpets up and it is quiet wet under there ! ive started the car let it get warm and there was no sign of leaking but when i drove about 30yards the widows steamed up and the dripping in the foot-well commenced again ! Im seriously hoping its not the heater matrix as Ive only had my supra 2weeks lol ! any ideas ? dacky20 is online now Report Post Edit/Delete Message

Steve
You should be able to just join the 2 hoses togehter that go through the bulkhead and into the matrix (at the back of the engine), although reading the following link you could just block those 2 hoses off. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=181288
JustGav
Blocking them off is a better option

DodgyRog
could RAD-WELD fix my problem ? Don't do it, it generally just clogs everything up and will be a short fix(possibly),but will more than likely cause issues further down the line
Chris Wilson
Rad Weld will add to your problems, just link the pipes up and it'll be fine until you decide what to do long term.
