Supra Noodle
Working under the dash today and discovered a Greddy oil pressure gauge tucked away, all connected and working. I thought at first that this seemed an odd place to position it, then alarm bells started to ring! Why has it been hidden away? I'm getting concerned to what readings i should be seeing. Any info would be appreciated, to put my mind at rest.(or to determine whether or not i have a problem) Car is an NA and seems to run ok. Pic attached of the gauge. DJButler
thats close to 70psi, presume its at revs or cold?
Supra Noodle
Oh yeah, the car was cold when i took the pic.
tonyhawk
70psi is fine if cool or as DJButler says when revving (when warm); hot I would expect to see about 35psi at idle.
bigbloodyturbo
I keep reading about people who find really nice pieces of kit under their dash or in an obscure part of the engine bay after buying a car. That has never happened to me, and its not fair!
Supra Noodle
Thanks for this, gonna give it a run this afternoon and see what it reads when hot at idle. Fingers crossed!

flukey-lukey
What should the oil pressure be on a TT idle when the oil/engine is warm?
bignum
Around 25 psi i think.
Supra Noodle
Where did the car come from? The car was a private sale from chepstow. Had it for nearly 2 years and still keep finding surprises. Followed the oil gauge braided hose and found a greddy oil cooler at the other end!
